Over the past 10 years the large scale wind turbine has developed to become an economically viable source of clean renewable energy. Pauwels has used its skills in compact high voltage transformer design to produce competitive padmount and in-tower designs for turbines up to more than 2.5MW at up to 36kV class. Already several hundred units have been supplied in the UK and for Western Europe the number runs to thousands.For the UK and Ireland we have included HV in-tank 33kV fuses and HV ring main connections using bolted "Tee" connectors.
We build the SLIM unit for in tower use
and the WindPad for out of tower use
